"Beach Party", Hamptons
We hosted an all day "beach party" in Bridgehampton except it was not on
the real beach, it was on our beach! We intended to bring the beach to us--
swimming, hottubbing, frisbee, volleyball, barbeque, suntanning and music.
Unfortunately we got rained out and the party had to be brought indoors but
we still managed to have a barbeque, an ice cream truck, a dj and dancing
all day and into the night. We discovered that you don't need sun or sand
to still have fun!

EBAY Theatre Event,
EBAY sponsored the Samantha's Table holiday party at Ars Nova, the off
Broadway theatre company. The event started with a performance by Marcie
and Zina, very well-known musical performers who sing and satire
relationships, breakups and dating (very appropos for this group!). Then
after the performance, we headed upstairs for a cocktail party and dessert
where EBAY representatives were on hand to teach those in attendance how to
shop on EBAY. We had many computer terminals set up and everyone was given
a gift certificate to use to shop on EBAY so that they could go home with a
little holiday gift!

"Key to My Heart" Valentine's Day Party
People always say that the best way of meeting people is through friends.
Samantha's Table is predicated upon the theory that people who have many
things in common have a better chance of having a successful relationship.
The Valentine's Day Party supported this notion by bringing together
friends and friends of friends who were all connected in some way to each
other and as a result had many similarities. In addition, people attended
with a platonic opposite sex friend, so that everyone could meet each
other's friends and that that there would be an equal number of men and
women in attendance. Upon entrance, each man was given a key and each woman
a lock, and then you had to try to discover who had "the key to your
heart". The event took place at Dylan's Candy Bar and the sponsors were
Moet & Chandon Champagne, Sterling Vodka and Original Sin Cider. A portion
of the proceeds went to Breast Cancer research. We had over 30 couples
find their "lock and key" match!

Testimonials
"It took me awhile to finally take the plunge and sign up for the service.
I was really nervous that all the women would think I was a loser for using
a Matchmaker. However, Samantha made all the women understand that I use
the service because I am just so busy at work. The women didn't have a
problem with it at all; as it turned out they were really excited for our
date." - Tom, Venture Capitalist
